Sustainable Berkeley gathers civic, private sector, education, and other community leadership to make Berkeley the greenest city, and a center for green business entrepreneurship and innovation.

Purpose: To provide community based collaboration and leadership to invoke a broadly shared civic passion for and action to create a vital sustainable future.

Goals:

1. To provide Outreach in Climate Protection and Green Business Certification with specific, measurable goals and through a multi-sector, community-based process.
2. To increase communication, coordination, and leveraging of resources between and among businesses, agencies, institutions and individuals.
3. To monitor, evaluate, and celebrate the achievement of the goals and report at least once a year to the members of Sustainable Berkeley, civic leaders, and the general public.
