| Sustainable Berkeley is spearheading
initiatives to recognize and inspire climate protection efforts by
Berkeley businesses and institutions. We primarily work on Berkeley's Green Restaurant Initiative and Business Outreach Program to mobilize businesses to join the Greenhouse Gas emissions reduction effort through the knowledge that what is good for the environment can also be good for the bottom line. Through increased energy efficiency and reduced waste, businesses can save money and reduce emissions at the same time. It is much cheaper to save energy than it is to buy it.
